About CNS
The Centre for Neuroscience
Established in 2000 under the Department of Biotechnology at CUSAT, the Centre for Neuroscience (CNS) was founded by the visionary neuroscientist Late Prof. C.S. Paulose to advance interdisciplinary research in neuroscience.
Since 2017, the Centre's outreach, translational research, and societal impact have been strengthened under the leadership of Dr. Baby Chakrapani P.S.
CNS continues to honour the legacy of Late Prof. Paulose through its commitment to scientific excellence, training, and community engagement in brain health.
About CENABH
Centre of Excellence in Neurodegeneration and Brain Health
The Centre of Excellence in Neurodegeneration and Brain Health (CENABH) is a Government of Kerala Centre of Excellence initiative that builds on the CNS foundation to bridge science and society on a global scale.
CENABH focuses on the cellular, molecular, psychological, and social dimensions of neurodegenerative disorders and brain health.
Together, CNS and CENABH advance Kerala's capacity in neuroscience research, clinical translation, and public outreach.
